One year after the national Association of Trial Lawyers of America tried to conceal from the public who they really are by changing their name, the North Dakota Trial Lawyers Association has followed suit, renaming itself the North Dakota Association for Justice.
But their tactics remain the same.
Removing the words "trial" and "lawyer" from their name won't stop them from doing harm to North Dakota.
North Dakota has a pretty good legal climate, ranked thirteenth in the nation in a recent survey of legal fairness, but the plaintiffs' trial lawyers won't be content to let it remain that way.
The plaintiffs' trial lawyers' campaign to hide the truth of who they are from the American public by changing their name is their attempt to continue in their same old ways in North Dakota unhindered.
If they want to be true advocates of justice for North Dakotans, they'll end the injustice of frivolous lawsuits.
