Two years after the national Association of Trial Lawyers of America tried to conceal from the public who they really are by changing their name, the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association has followed suit, renaming itself the Oklahoma Association for Justice.
But their tactics remain the same.
Removing the words "trial" and "lawyer" from their name won't stop them from doing harm to Oklahoma.
Oklahoma has a decent legal climate, ranked seventeenth in the nation in a recent survey of legal fairness, but the plaintiffs' trial lawyers won't be content to let it remain that way.
The plaintiffs' trial lawyers' campaign to hide the truth of who they are from the American public by changing their name is their attempt to continue in their same old ways in Oklahoma unhindered.
If they want to be true advocates of justice for Oklahomans, they'll end the injustice of frivolous lawsuits.
